Workshops

Providing and Receiving Support During Life‘s Critical Moments

Knowing what to say or do for a loved one during a challenging time can be as difficult as seeking help when we are facing our own challenges. In this workshop, Aimee Kandrac and Ashley Parsons will guide you through the process of giving and receiving support during life’s critical moments. They will share practical tips and explore the emotions you or your loved ones may encounter during these difficult times.

Cancer 101 Plus!

This workshop will share basic information about how cancer starts, how cancer is diagnosed and treated, risk factors for common cancers, the importance of knowing your family history, and current recommendations for prevention and screening for early detection. PLUS new information about recent changes in screening guidelines, emerging trends in cancer among younger adults, genetics and cancer, and a highlight on new research at the CU Cancer Center. Hosted by Dr. Jan Lowery.
